ITINERARY
PILGRIMAGE TO HIMACHAL PRADESH, NORTH INDIA 18th October – 1st November 2018 (15 days)


Delhi: Day 1 – 2
18
th – 19th October
We will meet you upon your arrival at Delhi Airport and transfer to our hotel.
The following morning we will visit the unique Lotus Temple and go shopping at our favourite Delhi boutiques.

McLeod Ganj: Day 3 – 6
20
th – 23rd October
Fly to Kangra/Dharamsala in the morning and travel by AC taxi to McLeod Ganj, then settle into our hotel and explore the local markets.
In McLeod Ganj we will have the opportunity to visit HH Dalai Lama’s monastery, Tibetan Children’s Village, Nechung Monastery, Tibetan Library and Museum, Tibetan Astrological and Medical Centre. Karma may guide a walk through the beautiful lush Himalayan forest. McLeod Ganj is an excellent place for shopping, from books to carpets and all Tibetan and Indian artifacts.

Bir: Day 7 – 8
24th – 25th October
Travel by AC Taxi (approx. 2 hours) to Sherab Ling, a beautiful Tibetan monastery surrounded by lush forest. We stop on route to visit Dongyu Gatsal Ling Nunnery, hopefully meeting with Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo (depending on her availability).
There are many special experiences to be found in the small town of Bir, a Tibetan enclave predominantly populated by people from Kham region. In Bir, you can find the eight great stupas and giant mani wheels of Chokling Monastery, and receive blessings from the sacred relics of Dorjechang Jamyang Khyentse Choekyi Lodro at Dzongsar Labrang.


Tso Pema: Day 9 – 11

th – 28th October
Travel to Tso Pema (Rewalsar) by AC Taxi (approx. 5 hours).
Here we visit Tibetan nuns living in caves, receive teachings from Tso Pema yogis, and receive blessings from the Guru Padmasambhava and Princess Mandarava caves. We also have the special opportunity to circumambulate the pristine Kunti Bayo lake sacred to Tibetan Buddhists, Hindus and Sikhs.

Norbulingka: Day 12 – 13

th – 30th October
Travel to Norbulingka by AC Taxi (6 hours).
We stay at the breath-taking traditional Tibetan style Norling Guest House, a recreation of the Dalai Lama’s summer Palace. Here we have time to rest and relax in the tranquil surrounds and visit workshops of traditional Tibetan artisans.

Delhi: Day 14

st October – 1st November
Enjoy a free morning at the Norbulingka before driving to Kangra/Dharamsala Airport. The flight to Delhi is 2 hours, reaching our hotel in the late afternoon.
On our last day in India (1st November), we visit the iconic Imperial Hotel for an opulent lunch experience in the infamous Imperial dining hall.
Later that day, we will organise your transfer to Delhi International Airport for your flight home.
