A counsellor for 30 years, Judy Arpana specialises in grief and loss and has extensive experience in conducting training workshops.
Judy has been a student of Buddhism since 1975 and has studied with many Buddhist masters. She brings to her work a vast compassion and depth of experience from both study and her work in supporting those in the process of dying.
Those who have attended her seminars report a greater ease around death, loss and grief and say they feel more effective both in their work and in their personal lives.
Judy’s gift is her extra-ordinary ordinariness. She brings a natural humour and warmth to challenging themes, which allows people to develop a deeper appreciation of life.
Since 1995, Judy and her old friend Ngakpa Karma Lhundup Rinpoche have been guiding small groups on pilgrimage to the Himalayan foothills of Northern India, visiting monasteries, holy caves and meeting Buddhist practitioners from the Tibetan communities in Dharamsala and surrounding region.
Judy is available for private counselling sessions in Lismore and on Skype.
